Greetings from Christian Muller Women’s College ,
The College was established in the year 2013 by the Church of South India. The founding fathers of Church of South India were the evangelical missionaries from Basel, Switzerland. At a time when education was the privilege of the elite sections of the society, the German missionaries threw open its doors of learning to all sections including women, the lower class and the less privileged. Chombal was one of the early settlements of these missionaries. They purchased a few acres of land from the feudatories of the Kadathanattu Raja and established a church and an elementary school. They also concentrated their attention on social services. Mr. Hermen Gundert who contributed the first Dictionary to Malayalam Language , Christian Muller and Sister Frieda were the few missionaries who
have contributed in the field of education Social service and health care. They believed in the slogan God appears in front of the poor in the form of bread. The new block of our college is in the name of Sister Frieda who was a philanthropist and a midwife. She herself shouldered the duty of treating people suffering from different types of diseases. She distributed food grains milk and milk products to the downtrodden people.

Even though CSI CMWC started only ten years back, it has made an impression in the educational field of Malabar. Our aim is women empowerment. The College offers 4 UG courses that is Bsc Psychology, BCom, BA (Functional English) and BCA and One PG Course Msc Psychology. From the very inception onwards we are getting 90% Pass in all programs. In 2023 our student Ramzana Ismail got first Rank in the Calicut University Msc Psychology Program me. Women empowerment is our declared goal.
Our patron is Rt. Rev. Dr. Royce Manoj Victor, the Bishop of Malabar Diocese of the Church of SouthIndia . We are marching ahead under the able leadership of Mr Anand K Nelson, the Manger of the College. Dr. Sasikumar P is the Principal of our College. He has 30 Years of Service in the field of Higher Education. He is also the former coordinator of History Department of the School of Distance Education , Kannur University. Our Academic Director is Dr. K K Asokan , the former Principal of Government College Madappally. A panel of expert and devoted teachers continuously strives to guide the students of the College to heights of success.
